When you are looking for an artsy, yet classic venue for your big day in the District of Columbia look no further. The Hotel Monaco, one of the Kimpton Hotels, is one of those venues in the heart of the city. Its 183 designer rooms are the perfect choice for every one of your out of town guests and those locals that do not want to drive home after the festivities.
The elegance of the Hotel Monaco is one of a kind. It is located in Penn Quarters between 7 th and F St. It is also right opposite the National Portrait Gallery, which with its beautiful artwork is a great location for your couple’s portraits after the ceremony.
The bride and groom in this photo had their wedding ceremony at the Holy Rosary church, which was close to their hotel. They said their vows in a beautiful catholic tradition in the Italian church amongst delicately intricate stained glass windows and paintings. The ring bearer was the groom’s nephew, who took his role very serious.
After having their husband and wife images taken at the National Portrait Gallery they went back to the Hotel Monaco for their reception in the Paris room on the 4 th floor. The entire event was beautifully planned and executed by Janice, the owner Bellwether Events. She along with her team ensured that the wedding was one of kind for the couple and their guests.
On entering the reception room placed in the corner, behind the sweetheart table was the beautiful 2-tiered wedding cake from Buttercream Bakeshop with the funny topper, which said “ For Like Ever”.
