This bride and groom loved the outdoors and met while hiking on the Appalachian trail in 2014. Hence it came as no surprise when they chose a remote but picturesque location for their wedding, where they could say I do in front of their beloved Appalachian mountains.
The Khimaira Farm in Luray, Virginia provides the ideal place for a rustic ceremony. With the views of the mountains and beautiful greenery it offers the perfect place for nuptials. The main house serves as a semi outdoors reception area with a spectacular view. Since it is only approximately 2 hours away from the D.C. metro area it is a destination that one can get to easily.
Close to the Khimaira Farm, along the mountains in the Shenandoa woods are wooden cabins that one can rent, either as a retreat, or as an accommodate your wedding guests. It was in two of those cabins that the bride and groom decided to get ready , where they were going to spend the weekend along with their families and friends before going on their honeymoon to the big Island in Hawaii.
While the bride was putting the finishing touches on her makeup we saw that she was beautifully reflected in a hand mirror that her friend was holding up. And decided to take this picture.
