When most couples think of adding a typical DC feel to their wedding portraits they often choose the iconic National Mall with its beautiful monuments. But the Nation's Capitol has other areas and neighborhoods that also represent the vibe of Washington DC. And one of those is Dupont Circle.

And if you are a DC resident or have been a frequent visitor to the city you will definitely be very familiar with Dupont Circle that has amazing bars, restaurants and book shops.

Young-Ae and John started their post wedding ceremony couple's portraits at the Spanish Steps . After taking a few pictures there, we made our way to Dupont Circle. To them, this neighborhood was extra special because is was here that they spent most of their time together while dating.

  • Spanish Steps : Located in the Kalorama neighborhood near Dupont Circle the Decatur Terrace is more colloquially known as the Spanish Steps, after the Spanish Steps in Rome.
  • Rock Creek Park: It is the oldest natural urban park in the park system,
  • William Howard Taft Bridge: It is a historic bridge that connects the neighborhoods of Kalorama and Woodley Park.
  • Meridian Hill Park: One of the most iconic spots for pictures is the thirteen basin cascading fountain with its reflecting pool below.
  • National Zoo: If you are an animal lover this is the perfect place for your couple's pictures.
