If you are looking for a historic wedding venue in the heart of Washington, DC, look no further! The DACOR Bacon House, which is located on F Street just blocks from the White House, is a mansion that hosts weddings, receptions and bridal showers. Since it is also a historic museum, brides and grooms who get married there will have the feel of tying the knot while immersed in DC's past glory.
If you prefer to have an outdoor wedding ceremony, the DACOR Bacon House has a great option. There is a beautiful half-acre garden behind the house with a white pergola in the corner that gives the garden and its surroundings a distinct 1920s England feel.
We are always happy when our couples chose a location for their engagement session which is new to us. And for that reason, we were very excited when this future bride and groom decided to have their engagement pictures taken at the DACOR Bacon House. We started taking their portraits on the first and second floors amid the antique-style furniture and historic wall art. We then made our way out to the garden to conclude their session. It is there that we saw how beautiful the light was falling on the couple when they were standing on the ornate wrought iron staircase.
