Couples who get married in Washington, DC usually want their wedding photos to feel like the nation's capital. So when we're taking their couples portraits, we like to take advantage of the city's many famous monuments, museums and other landmarks to give the images a special local flavor that says, "This wedding was in Washington!"
We have photographed many brides and grooms in front of the Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument and all of the other famous tourist sites in DC, but we also like to take our couples to some of the more out of the way places that are just as beautiful and just as much a part of the fabric of the city as the "big name" landmarks.
With that in mind, we took these beautiful newlyweds to the Ronald Reagan Building in downtown Washington. Centrally located on historic Pennsylvania Avenue in the heart of the city, the office complex has a lovely courtyard and majestic arches that were perfect for framing the couple and highlighting the fact that what was once two was now one united whole.
