There are many beautiful, historic wedding venues in the DC metro area. And the Woodlawn Manor is a historic venue located in the heart of Maryland. It is part of the Montgomery Parks and as such is available for weddings and events all year around.
This particular venue is one of those wedding venues that combines the charm of days gone by with the appeal of the modern. The Manor House was built from 1800 to 1815 and reminds one of the glory of the Edwardian era.
The lush lawns, the gazebo garden and the historic buildings provide a perfect setting for any wedding. For weddings held during warmer days there is the option of the outdoor tent, which this wedding was.
This particular picture was taken towards the end of the evening when the couple and their families and friends were at the wedding reception held in the outdoor tent. The bride, groom, their families and all of their guests were dancing exuberantly to the lyrics of "Shout". During one of the parts where people bend down as far possible towards the ground, the groom decided to try and pour beer into the mouth of one of his groomsmen. And aimed rather poorly!
