Christina and Chad’s Chapel Hill wedding was so much fun and filled with laughter! The couple, their families and their guests were definitely people who loved to have a great time! But apart from laughter, there was also a lot of love! Christina and Chad have the biggest hearts and touch the lives of anyone they meet with their warm and caring attitude!
Getting Ready for Wedding in Chapel Hill NC
We started the day at two locations: Siena autograph collection for Christina and the Rizzo Center for Chad. Both wrote letters to each other, and part of that for Christina included an inside joke from her man – a Thanksgiving card! And an attempt by her dad to hang her wedding dress high up directed by her mom because no one was as tall as him!
Both people also honored those that couldn’t be with them for their wedding in Chapel Hill NC. Chad wore a bracelet remembering his late father, and Christina had a picture of her grandmother attached to her bouquet.
North Carolina Botanical Gardens Wedding First Look
The couple chose the North Carolina Botanical Gardens as the location for their first look. We loved how versatile the place was and found a perfect spot for them to see each other for the first time. Chad couldn’t hold back tears when he saw Christina in her beautiful dress!
As animal lovers, it always makes us ridiculously happy when a couple includes their fur baby/babies in their images! And Christina and Chad’s two adorable dogs were brought along for some really beautiful North Carolina Botanical Gardens wedding photos! Though the two pooches were initially skeptical about our cameras, they soon forgot about us completely and were excited to greet the bride and groom!
Chapel Hill Wedding Ceremony at St.Thomas More Catholic Church
Christina and Chad got married at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. It was a beautiful ceremony officiated by one of Christina’s close friends from college! Even those who couldn’t be there physically got to be part of this celebration via a zoom stream!
Awesome Chapel Hill NC Wedding Photos from a Party Bus
If a bride and groom get a party bus, it usually means fun dancing! And this Chapel Hill NC wedding was no exception! Taking the bus over to the Fearrington village for their reception was a blast! Once the music started, the groom and his groomsmen led of dancing and then bride joined in!
Fearrington Village Wedding Reception
Christina and Chad had their wedding reception at Fearrington Village. This is a beautiful community on a historic farm with donkeys, cows, chickens and goats (yup goats!). After taking the family formals there the couple wanted some portraits with the animals. If you are a pet parent or have worked with animals, you know that they NEVER look at the camera when you want them to! But Christina’s bridal bouquet finally did get some interest from a goat, and she got her picture! (Disclaimer: we didn’t feed them any flowers!)
Throughout the Fearrington Village wedding reception, one could feel how much everyone in the room loved Christina and Chad! The speeches were very emotional and heartwarming, and even we might have shed a tear or two during. This was followed by cutting one of the most delicious cakes!
Even though it rained a little, their dance floor was moved outdoors. Instead of sparklers for an exit, Christina and Chad bought balloons for the dance floor! That made for some fun images of the bride and groom and their friends batting those to and at each other!
Gorgeous Nighttime Portraits at Fearrington Village NC Wedding Celebration
We ended this amazing wedding day and awesome Fearrington Village NC wedding reception by taking night portraits of Christina and Chad! We really enjoyed being part of their celebration from start to finish and feel like we have made some friends along the way!
Congratulations again Christina and Chad! You two are amazing people!
